Becoming a KennisTranslation Partner is a new professional opportunity for me and a chance to experience being a citizen of the world. I relish working alongside my collegues and partners from overseas, joining efforts and sharing a virtual platform as part of a broader workspace to spread knowledge of information and ideas.
Claudio holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, and a Post Graduate Diploma in English Translation. Alongside his professional experience in construction site management and environmental consulting, Claudio began translating between English and Brazilian Portuguese in 1997 when he earned a one-year contract in a steelmaking company, now known as Arcellor-Mittal, one of the major steelmaking companies in Brazil. Claudio ran a translation business from 2003 to 2018 and has worked as a freelance translator in close collaboration with his wife for a number of translation agencies in fields such as QHSE, Steelmaking, Iron Ore Mining, Environmental Management, Wind Power, Power Tools, Food Prodution and Safety, and Marketing, including operational and training manuals, promotional materials and contracts.
